HISTORY

Erik Limburg has been at the top of the international pigeon sport for many years. This breeder from Brussegem, Belgium, continues to breed with the genes of new champions and to test them in different specialized long distance championships.
Focused on breeding the best pigeons by adjusting new pigeons in his own basic lines.  He has been at the top of pigeon racing internationally for many years, breeding new champions by matching the bloodlines of Jef De Ridder, Rauw Sablon and Aelbrecht with lines of new champions, testing and training them.
Based on Jef de Ridder's pigeons, Erik has an eye for talent, with a special attention and dedication to pigeon selection. 'Creone Roeper' his latest new winning pigeon, got the 1st National Ace Pigeon Great Fond yearlings KBDB in 2020.

Their pigeons

With a team of 68 widows, Erik started to tackle the classic widowhood system. They began training twice a day with a very rigorous training discipline where there must be movement and speed in flight. A lot of work is done to motivate the widows. Every year they move to another loft, where the old and the yearlings train together.
For the competitions, there is a team of 40 pigeons, mainly yearlings. They are trained twice a day in 4-5 stages.
In the selection of the breeding stock, the results obtained in the racing race, the pedigree and the manual inspection are important. Compensating pairs to form balanced offspring from a single piece. For Erik the qualities the pigeons must have to be winners are with long wing and short hind wing, strong back, a firm carcass and a well pigmented eye.
After a new start in 2021, he has started again with a team of 2020 yearlongs and 2021 youngsters.
