General conditions of the auction
The WINKIE auction system is governed by the regulations shown in the Winkie General Conditions of Sale which you can find out about by clicking here. Your participation in any of these auctions implies acceptance of the above conditions.
To participate in any auction, you must be registered on our website in order to view and bid for the pigeons you are interested in. Register here. WINKIE reserves the right to authorise or disauthorise the account of each user in order to preserve the fair and proper use of the auctions held on this website.
Why do we have to authorise your account?
Our auction system is defined by transparency and security for the user. That is why we guarantee that each bid is legitimate with our individual validation process.
Each account only needs to be validated once. It is not necessary to do so each time there is an auction.
WINKIE reserves the right to carry out any type of verification through the data provided by each user. Each participant may only register with a single user.
How to place a bid?
After registration and validation, access the auction section of our website. Enter the Auction you want and choose the pigeon you are interested in. You can consult details such as its pedigree, its origin, the photos of its main ancestors or the chapter on its lineage in our WINKIE Breeder Catalogue.
Click on the "Bid" tab above the photo of the pigeon and enter the amount according to the auction characteristics displayed on the general page of each auction.
All prices indicated and bids made by users are inclusive of all taxes in accordance with Spanish legislation.
In the Characteristics of each auction, values such as the minimum amount with which bids may be extended, the number of copies to be auctioned or the closing date will be indicated. Unless otherwise indicated, by default, in our bidding system the minimum amount to increase a bid will be 10 euros, with a maximum limit to increase the bid at once.
In the tab "Bids" you can see the bid history of each pigeon.
In case any other user has increased the bid for a pigeon you have bid on, we will send you an e-mail notifying you of this circumstance. Likewise, the Auction system sends communications by e-mail or by SMS system to the e-mail address and mobile phone that you have provided (WINKIE is not responsible for notifications that have not reached their destination due to network incidents or similar problems). You accept the sending of this information by authorising the conditions of use at the time of user registration when you register. Please contact us if you do not wish to receive e-mails or SMS.
When a new bid is placed for a particular pigeon, in the last 10 minutes of the auction, the auction is automatically extended for another 10 minutes for that particular pigeon.
WINKIE reserves the right to check each bid independently, contacting the user through the personal data he has given us for the management of the website. Similarly, and for security measures, WINKIE may carry out routine checks to ensure the legitimacy of any bid.
WINKIE reserves the right to set an overall budget limit for each user. If you exceed this limit and wish to extend it, please contact us. You can consult this credit limit in your user profile.
How to make the payment?
When the period of each auction ends, WINKIE will send an e-mail to each of the users who have made the winning bid in each case. This e-mail will explain the method of payment and whether or not it includes shipping costs.
Payment must be made within 7 days. If you do not pay, you will lose the right to this pigeon and it will be awarded to the user who made the second highest bid.
