Hugo Batenburg, can without doubt be considered the best current breeder of pigeons of Jan Aarden origin in the Netherlands. The Batenburg-Van De Merwe family focuses on long distance racing all season long. His philosophy is that "top class pigeons are derived from first class pigeons".

HISTORY
This family of pigeon fanciers is one of the best breeding lines in Germany. They have won numerous internationals and each of their races are, extraordinarily, unbelievable. One of the first achievements was the first place in the Pau race against 8.399 pigeons in 2012. We are talking about the loft of Freialdenhofen & Sons.

HISTORY
At the beginning of the year 2000, a young Frank became acquainted with pigeon racing. Through his grandfather, he got to know the sport and his interest in it grew. His main interest, at that time, was in speed and medium distance races (up to 700 kilometres). This interest changed in 2005 when he became interested in the marathon as a type of discipline.

HISTORY
His story begins when he was 10 years old. He was an only child and lived on a farm with his busy parents. Hooymans would amuse himself by fluttering around the chickens, rabbits or pigeons. But it was the birds that always caught his attention. So much so that in 1981 he became a member of the Kerkdriel pigeon club. His star bird is Harry, father and grandfather of great champions.

HISTORY
Stefaan Lambrechts is a young pigeon fancier who has been interested in carrier pigeons since he was a child. When he was only two years old, he was already in his uncle Cyriel's loft. In 1987, when Stefaan was 9 years old, he started, with the support of his uncles Cyriel and Emmanuel, to race pigeons on his own. It quickly became evident that Stefaan had a natural talent for racing pigeons as 1998 was his first outstanding year.

Today the name Herbots guarantees reliability and quality. The Belgian Filip Herbots is the founder of the Herbots pigeon dynasty. He has been the world's most renowned pigeon fancier for 60 years.

HISTORY
The Koopman lineage is one of the most famous in the world today. This Dutch family has more than 80 years of history in the field of homing pigeons, where the roots were laid down by the patriarch Cornelis. His love for animals and especially for pigeons made him an excellent fancier. Initially, he concentrated his interest on the birds of a neighbour, which resulted, years later, in him discovering the phenomenon of racing.

Harry & Roger Wijnands, one of the most prestigious Dutch lofts in long distance racing. In their trajectory they stand out for having won 6 times the first prize in the Dutch National and 2 times winner of the National Marathon. They have achieved success in the pigeon racing sector by collecting what they have learned in the world of pigeon racing and not relying on luck.

HISTORY
Leo Heremans does not come from a pigeon fanciers' family. His love for the sport started in a very peculiar way. A pigeon landed on the stairs leading to the terrace of his house. It was in 1977 that Louis Claes advised Heremans to race his pigeons.
He built up his team by buying at the market in Lier. In 1978, Heremans raced for the first time with 15 young pigeons. Leo had one pigeon which was his favourite, De Entje. With this one he won 14 prizes and was the offspring of two Huysmans pigeons.

Flor Engels and her sons Jos and Jules have built up one of the most important pigeon lofts in Europe. They have been breeding and racing homing pigeons for 70 years. Flor Engels, patriarch of the lineage, started racing the birds in 1947. They have won 8 times the first position in national, 7 times in national zone B, 2 times semi-national and 81 times first provincial, among other titles.

Monick is the daughter of an important Belgian fancier, Alfons Nys, who always excelled in keeping and flying pigeons of the Janssen breed. Her father, who never bought a Janssen bird outright, was champion on many occasions and was successful in most of the Belgian league races.

Baerts Henri and Guy de Grazen have been winners in the long distance championships and in 2007 they took the podium in Oostende, winning with a coefficient margin of 23,43. Therefore, the Baerts duo Henri and Guy had a wonderful year in both Long Distance and Long Distance events. Besides the national title, they were also General Long Distance Champions in the Union Brabant, where they also won the Oscar for Long Distance. Apart from that they had the best pigeon in the club the "King Rhone".

Most pigeon fanciers know that Geerinckx pigeons are among the strongest pigeons in Belgium. It was their father Luc who formed the basis of his breed with the pigeons of his neighbour Jos Soontjens. This was a direct hit, because these pigeons formed the basis for the best top sprint team for years. Currently, the breeding loft has 35 pairs of top pigeons as national winners, Olympic pigeons, many winners and basic pigeon breedings, which correspond to the principles of "Geerinckx".
